0-60 in 6.2 seconds is pretty quick, especially for $23k. I think the 2-tone black roof works really well on this one too.
Yeah that’s right it’s manual. Manual-ONLY on the R-spec trim.

I’d rather have
the stealthy
5-door version
.
Same goes for the Veloster N, but I’m seriously thinking of snagging a DCT Veloster N when it comes out so I can stop driving a clutch in DC traffic.

I hope they fixed it. The old DCT was dog shit.

Is the steering any decent?

I test drive the old Veloster Spec R and wasn’t impressed. That was a 15 if I recall. Numb shifting, numb steering, not that much power. Seats were nice, but not heated. No sunroof on any Veloster. Rear visibility sucks and there wasn’t a backup came on the one I drove, I’m sure that’s standard now.

Hopefully it has been updated some, the old DCT was horrible and the steering was as numb as they come.

It looks orange to me.

Supposedly they’re going to beef it up for N duty and t hat’s why the i30 and Veloster N are launching only with the stick.
I know wanting a non-manual is lame but my commute home from work often takes an hour and sometimes change to go 15 miles. It’s usually not so bad in the morning but at night it’s brutal.

You’re allowed to be wrong.

...
I mean, you’re not wrong in this case, but if you were, you’d be allowed to be.

My mk3 Jetta I had when I test drove a DCT Veloster could shift faster and smoother. And that Jetta had 200k miles and a shifter that felt like someone was stirring a pot of cold oatmeal with a dowel rod.
